This is a full fleece breed show for huacaya and suri with an age championship schedule. Colour champions will be judged after the Supreme Champion has been awarded.

Lloyd and his parents Sheryl and Kit have been involved in the alpaca industry since early in 2000. The family own and run Silverstream alpaca stud, which specialize in breeding elite quality huacaya alpacas.
Over the last ten years Lloyd has traveled throughout New Zealand and Australia attending prominent shows and competing at the top level. He has also had the chance to view some of Australasia’s best stud farms and prize-winning animals.
Lloyd’s previous judging experience has been in the form of the apprentice judging programme run by the New Zealand Alpaca Association; from this he has worked with some of the country’s top judges and has had two years to develop his judging ability.
“For those who don’t know me I like to see fine, well-presented animals and to take the opportunity of talking with the breeders. So after the judging is done please come and say hello and feel free to talk with me about your animals and how you found the show.”

Rangiora is a farming service town in North Canterbury. There are many farms and lifestyle blocks in the area and many alpaca breeders are found in proximity to Rangiora.
The Rangiora Show was started in 2009. This show was very successful with a large number of entries.
The 2010 show will have two rings operating – one for suris and another for huacayas. Pens are uncovered at this show.
Awatere Alpacas and Silverstream Alpaca Stud are the Supreme Sponsors for the suri and huacaya sections. A perpetual cup is awarded for each supreme title.
In addition, sponsorship options are available for age champions and colour champions. These cost $40 plus gst per championship. Please contact Stephen Davy for sponsorships.
