Alpaca Expo 2011 brings you a wide range of activities from watching New Zealand’s best alpacas win their ribbons in the AANZ National Show, to shopping for alpaca products in the trade exhibitions. For the first time there will be an Innovative Alpaca exhibition. Sunday 2nd Oct will feature the National Alpaca auction. All weekend there will be plenty for the kids to see, and a few things they can get involved with before hand...

InnovativeAlpaca Exhibition
For the first time you will be able to see the wide range of beautiful luxurious alpaca products in the specially designed “Innovative Alpaca” exhibition, where a huge variety of products and clothing made from New Zealand Alpaca fibre will be displayed in lifelike situations.
We are pleased to be working with local company Funiture Gallery to creat a real life display of New Zealand alpaca products.
National Alpaca Show
The AANZ National Show is the premier event on the alpaca calendar. There is no better place to view the best alpacas being bred in New Zealand. Alpaca Breeders from around the country will be there parading their stock in classes representing the different types of alpaca (Suri & Huacaya), the range of colours (white, fawns, browns, grey and black), and the different ages from 6months to mature age groups of over 5 years.
National Alpaca Auction
On Sunday 2nd Oct some of the leading alpaca studs will put be putting the pick of their breeding programmes under the hammer. The alpacas selected for the AANZ National Auction have been rigorously screened to ensure they are of the highest quality in their section. A range of colour and type have been selected providing you with the perfect opportunity to purchase top quality breeding stock. View the Auction Catalogue here.
Alpaca Expo 2011 Auction (584 KB)
Part of the Expo competitions will include a Kids art and colouring section. Anyone under the age of 15 can enter and of course you are all welcome to visit the event and check out the work displayed at the Expo. See more..
